Terreiro Tumbansi, also known as Nzo Tumbansi Twa Nzambi Ngana Kavungu, is a spiritual center, a space for experiencing ancestral knowledge and practices. The terreiro carries out several actions that attract the attention of researchers and scholars of African and Afro-Brazilian themes. It is also a space for the struggle and resistance of black people and is considered a place for the reproduction of African matrices and their interaction with other matrices in Brazil. The terreiro has partnerships with the Federal University of São Paulo, the International Center of Bantu Civilizations, the Associação Mãos Livres Angola and the International Center for Research and Documentation on African Traditions and Languages.
